What’s the bright idea? The story behind our rebrand

If you’re a regular visitor to our website, you’ve probably noticed there’s been a few changes around here! We’re delighted to launch our brand-new website, which is sporting our shiny new branding.

Earlier this year, we decided to take the leap and create a new logo and visual identity that better represents our brand values, as well as consolidate the reputation and trust we’ve built with our customers, trusted partners and the lighting industry over the past three decades.

But what does this rebrand mean for you, our customers? Here are the ‘why’, ‘how’ and – most importantly – ‘what’s next’...

In with the new

At LSE Lighting, it’s in our nature to evolve. We have over 22 years of experience lighting the UK, Europe and beyond – designing, manufacturing and installing hundreds of projects each year.

We’ve established our reputation in the commercial and residential lighting spheres, and we’re known for our cutting-edge lighting fixtures that conform to the highest of standards. Today, we want to further expand our horizons and continue to lead the way in our sector – and look great while doing it!

We’ve honed in on our key values to come up with a new brand identity that better communicates what we stand for.

Our logo evolution

Our lighting installations speak for themselves, and we wanted the same effect from our logo. We pride ourselves on our innovative, tailored approach, focusing on the finer details. Our new logo is a natural evolution from the old. It still centres on the LSE lettering, but draws on our expertise in conceptual design, architectural appeal and a bespoke design.

Firstly, we’ve established a dark grey colour as a base, with vibrant red as an accent colour – chosen for its emotional power. When designing our light installations, we focus on the impact of light on a space. Similarly, the five lines in the logo mark are seen from an angle and cast shadows which form the letters L, S and E. The logo has been developed with a straight typeface that balances with the angles of the logo mark.

The five pillars of LSE Lighting

The five lines in our logo also represent our five key pillars – our guiding lights:

1. Bespoke – From the smallest changes to a 100% new design.
2. People – We’re adaptable, dependable and have a diverse skill set.
3. Manufacture – Both in-house and working with a highly skilled portfolio of providers.
4. Creativity – Not always taking the easiest path. How can we do it better or differently?
5. Standards – We’ve been ISO 9001-2015 compliant for eight years and are currently working towards a 1401 addition.

The main inspiration behind our brand glow-up were our ‘bespoke’ and ‘creativity’ pillars. We and our customers have a shared desire for that spark of imagination, and we love seeing our installations come to life.

And it’s not just about our new logo. The new brand has been a catalyst for our brand-new website, with increased functionality for our client base.

New brand, same LSE quality

Although we have a new brand, our mindset, creativity and commitment to quality remain the same as they’ve always been. We’re still the same LSE you love and trust – and hopefully our key values shine through our new branding.
